As well as working with nearly 1300 brokers across the UK, we continue our heritage of partnering with key businesses and individuals with our introducer scheme

Operating under our FCA regulation as an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) the introducer scheme provides the opportunity for non-regulated firms to take advantage of all our products and services. Whilst there is a small element of paperwork to complete, the introducer scheme is available to almost anyone who has the ability to regularly introduce clients  for their insurance needs in exchange for commissions on every sale.

Insurance plays a part in almost every aspect of daily business life and there are a number of times when clients require cover to move forward with a contract or the service the introducer is providing. Rarely are people taught about insurance and whilst aggregator websites have their uses, they provide little help or advise. Often clients will pay over the odds or even take insurances they don’t need because an internet article told them to. However, a good business owner will always make sure their clients are receiving the best possible service, even if it means introducing them to an expert business partner for their needs.

As an example an accountant may advise their client how best to move forward with their business plan – perhaps the client is starting to recruit staff, or export goods and services. As part of the advice they provide to the client they may well introduce the client through to SJL Insurance Services to help with employer’s liability and further help with the insurance aspect of their business plan.

Alternatively a good letting agent will speak to hundreds of landlords per year, each owning at least one property they are looking to let out. A quality agent would make sure the property is ready and compliant for let. Does the property have an EPC? Does it have a gas safety certificate? If not, it would be in the agent’s business interest to refer the landlord to someone who can provide these services so the agent can concentrate on achieving a let for the landlord. With this example the insurance is no different and could offer their landlord the opportunity to speak to an insurance expert about their needs when they property insurance is due for renewal.

These two examples are typical types of introducers SJL Insurance Services work with, but we also work with security firms, relocation advisors, solicitors and IFAs to name a few.
