Head of Business Development

Phil’s role within SJL Insurance Services for over 10 years has been Head of Business Development which means much of his time is spent on the road meeting with FCA authorised and regulated brokers (although recent restrictions in non-essential travel has seen these meetings conducted by telephone as necessary). The role enables him to support and educate those intermediaries that use SJL as both an underwriting agency and wholesale broker ensuring that they are aware of the processes and schemes at all times. In addition, he will always be happy to speak to new brokers keen on an agency with SJL and commonly speaks to individuals following marketing campaigns which he also manages and develops. He will assist the broker in identifying gaps in their offerings which SJL can fill as well as opportunities to grow their existing book and maximise their income.
