SJL Insurance Services hire local Fundraising Manager, Jodi Brandwood, for the SJL Foundation

Worcester based Charitable Foundation re-opens for full fundraising activities along with the charitable sector as a whole

2 August 2021: Most charities have closed or furloughed staff for the last 15 months but now many restrictions have been lifted, the SJL Foundation is excited to return to full fundraising so that we can further support Acorns Children’s Hospices, and small start-up businesses, who need help.

The SJL Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of local Fundraising Manager, Jodi Brandwood.

Commenting on the appointment, the founder and trustee of the SJL Foundation, Simon Lancaster said: ‘’I am absolutely thrilled that Jodi Brandwood has agreed to joins us, she brings with her a wealth of fundraising and event experience having spent a number of years as a valued fundraiser for St Richard’s Hospice and, more recently, New College Worcester.  Jodi is deeply invested with helping local causes and has the skills to develop us on a national scale. I can’t wait for her to get started’’

Jodi Brandwood remarked: “I am thrilled to join the SJL Foundation and to be given the opportunity to take it to the next level. I am passionate about supporting local organisations and charities in Worcestershire and helping to raise their profiles by engaging with the public. I am really looking forward to supporting small business start-ups nationwide and being involved with making their exciting aspirations become a reality.”

The SJL Foundation also announce for the first time that their second SJL Black Tie Ball, postponed because of the Coronavirus pandemic, has been booked in for 1 April 2022 at Bank House Hotel Spa and Golf Club. The first ball raised £37,000 and proceeds went to Acorn’s Children’s Hospices in the West Midlands and start-up businesses nationwide.
