SJL National Business Awards

This is an annual event open to new start-ups and businesses negatively affected by the pandemic.  The Awards evening takes place in the House of Commons with an evening of entertainment and networking.

Closing date for 2021 applications has now passed but keep an eye out for news on future campaigns.


Santa Skydive

Saturday 4th December 2021

Take the plunge for the SJL Foundation and raise funds to support their chosen causes, Acorns Children’s Hospice and ethical new business start-ups within the UK.

Experience an exhilarating free-fall from 10,000ft at speeds of up to 120mph attached to a qualified instructor before gliding towards the ground and landing in front of your friends and family.

A training and safety briefing will be provided and your jump will be fully controlled by your experienced instructor from start to finish.

All you need to do is enjoy the ride!

Raise £500 in sponsorship and jump for FREE!

  • Download and read the Skydive SJL Information Pack
  • Register online with Skyline Events and pay a non-refundable deposit of £70
  • Set up a JustGiving page and pledge to raise a minimum £500
  • Or pay the airfield your own jump costs of £230 and raise as much sponsorship as you can for the SJL Foundation.

The SJL Foundation Ball

Friday 1st April 2022

Guests enjoying the SJL Foundation Ball in 2019. The event raised £37,000 towards our good causes.


We are delighted to confirm the return of the SJL Foundation Ball on Friday 1st April at The Bank House Hotel, Worcester.

Join us for an evening of fun, fizz and entertainment in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice and ethical business start-ups within the UK.

Tickets are £65 per person, can be purchased individually or as a table of 10, and will include:

  • A sparkling reception
  • Live music from The Institutions
  • A sumptuous three-course meal
  • Raffle and Live Auction with some very special prizes
